The third generation of the Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS) in the area of functional clothing. The softshell pants made of comfortable, soft material are quick-drying and release body moisture to the outside, additionally, they store body heat on the inside. The good insulating property allows for excellent wearing comfort. The waistband is equipped with elastic rubber and Velcro. The belt loop is about 5 cm wide. The fly is equipped with a concealed zipper, snap button, and Velcro. The pants have two side slip pockets as well as two large, attached thigh pockets with flaps and Velcro closure as well as an elastic band with cord stopper. The leg hem is equipped with an elastic rubber band for width adjustment.

Both waist and leg hem are equipped with concealed side zippers.
