Pendant 'Irminsul'

The Irminsul - the "soaring column" - was an old Saxon sanctuary made from a mighty tree, whose branches and roots extended into nine different worlds. In Germanic mythology, it symbolized the world tree that carries the entire cosmos. It rose from the ground to the sky where it reached the point of the North Star. As an amulet, the Irminsul embodies the connection between heaven and earth as well as the perpetually renewing life.
