Pendant 'Caduceus'

The caduceus of the Greek god Hermes or the Roman god Mercury, also known as herald's staff, was in antiquity a recognition sign of heralds. It was supposed to signal the immunity of these messengers of secret news and ensure their safe return. In later times, it was considered as a symbol of commerce as Merchants' staff. It embodies the connection of opposing forces and is an emblem of fertility.
