Tibetan prayer flags large

Wonderfully colorful, they flutter everywhere in Nepal playfully on rooftops, temples, bridges, or sacred springs in the wind.
Yet, they hold a deep meaning for the people living there. They are always meant to remind of the Divine. The mantras and depictions on the flags are meant to bring protection and blessings to the entire universe and all life. Problems or sufferings are given over to the wind for transformation by hanging a prayer flag, so that life can flow again. The colorful flags symbolically stand for the five elements. Over time, prayer flags disintegrate due to the effects of sun, wind, and rain. This is also desired, because in this way the blessings can reach the five elements.
